Quake Live for Mac OS and Linux

In March, the Id Software released Quake Live game which runs in a web browser. So far, the game has only been available for Windows. Now, the game has been released for both Mac OS X and Linux.

This information has been disclosed during the QuakeCon 2009. To play the Quake Live, a player must install a special plug-in which has so far been available only for Windows.

Kodu is available

Kodu is a visual programming language that makes it easy to create your own games. It has just been released on Xbox Live. The application costs 400 Microsoft points and offers a lot of possibilities for ambitious developers.

Public Quake Live beta

The id Software company plans to release the public beta version of the Quake Live game.

It is a special edition of the cult Quake 3 Arena which will be available free of charge. To launch the game, a web browser and about 200MB of free hard disk space will be enough. Quake Live, due to the fact that the game is already 10 years, should work without problems even on old computers (also in full screen mode).

Mac Games Arcade 1.0

Mac Games Arcade is a small application that provides convenient access to the vast store of games for Mac OS X. The system was initiated by the founders of the Inside Mac Games and Macgamestore.com to facilitate the selection, purchase and downloading games.
