Apple released updates for Mac OS, iPhone and QuickTime

AppleApple has just released patches fixing more than 47 vulnerabilities in such products as Mac OS, iPhone and QuickTime. Some of the vulnerabilities allow attackers to take complete control over devices with unsafe software. Updates for Mac OS X fix bugs in Alias Manager, CarbonCore, ClamAV, ColorSync, CoreGraphics, and Adobe Flash.

Outdated Flash in Mac OS X 10.6

AppleThe latest version of Mac OS Snow Leopard 10.6 has an outdated Flash Player. It is recommended to update the plugin because older versions may have some security vulnerabilities. In order to check if you have the latest Adobe Flash Player, go to the special test page. The system automatically detects the plugin version and informs whether the update is necessary or not.

Snow Leopard 10.6 officially released

As we reported a coupe of days ago, Mac OS Snow Leopard 10.6 has officially been released today. Now, you can purchase the long-awaited seventh version of Mac OS X Snow Leopard which can be installed on any Apple's computer or separately.

Snow Leopard with protection against malicious software

Apple has always been able to boast that the number of viruses infecting the family of Mac operating systems is significantly lower than the number of malicious programs written specifically for Windows. However, no operating system is one hundred percent safe. That is why, as blog Intego reports, there will be implemented a special system to protect users against malicious software in the newest version (10.6) of the Mac OS.

Will Mac OS X 10.6 be available in August?

Last week we wrote that the latest version of Apple's operating system - Mac OS X Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6) has achieved the status of Golden Master. Although the system is now ready for release, the manufacturer has not officially revealed when the system will appear on the market.
