Google offers 20000 USD for hacking Chrome

chromeGoogle offers a $20,000 prize for those who can break the Chrome browser's security. The prize can be won in the Pw2Own competition. To increase the safety of its product, Google is ready to pay money to the first who can find security vulnerabilities in the Chrome browser. It is worth noting that last year Chrome was the only browser that was not hacked by competitors. The competition will be held March 9-11.

Browsers Benchmark January 2011

BrowsersIn the beginning of 2011, we have conducted a browsers test to find out which one is the fastest and compatible with the latest Internet standards. We have tested all most popular browsers (Opera, Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer) as well as less popular (Rekonq, SeaMonkey, Konqueror). The browsers were tested with the Peacekeeper, Sunspider, Google V8, and Dromaeo JavaScript benchmarks. in addition, we have check the browsers' compatibility with the latest web standards using the ACID3 test.

Opera 11 beta vs 10.63 test

OperaToday, the new beta version 11.0 of the Opera browser was released. The new release brings many new features e.g. support for plugins similar to that used in Firefox and Chrome.
However, we have tested the new JavaScript engine in the new Opera version. Below, you can find the test results.

Norwegian company Opera Software has just released the latest version of Opera 10 web browser.
This release brings many new features that make Opera even more user friendly, secure, faster and compatible with the latest web standards.
