Web Office tests are late

When in mid-July, Microsoft officially presented to the world the web version of Office 2010, there was information that open tests would be launched in August. However, the latest news coming from Redmond suggests that the public tests of the Office Web Applications will begin later this year.

Microsoft has just presented the Web versions of Office applications – direct competition to Google Docs.

During the PDC conference, Microsoft officially announced that the Web versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote will be created.
Web Office tools such as Google Docs, are created with a view to sharing documents and simultaneously editing them by multiple users. At the PDC, Microsoft demonstrated two users working concurrently on a document OneNote 14. One of them was using the desktop version of OneNote and the second one was using the web version. Synchronization is possible regardless of whether it is used a desktop or a web version of the program.
