In March we reported about release plans for Symbian. Recently, Symbian Foundation has released microkernel (EKA2) and additional tools under the Eclipse Public License (EPL).
Last year, specialists predicted that cellular botnets can appear soon. Unfortunately, it is this moment when the first cellular botnet has been found.
The development plan of the free Symbian operating system has been published. According to the plan, new versions of the system are to be released every six months. The upcoming version will be based on the user interface which is currently used in the S60 system. Symbian ^ 2 is to be completed at the end of 2009.
