The new stable version of one of the most popular Linux distributions - Fedora 10 – has been released.

The new version contains the latest windows environments, GNOME 2.24 and KDE 4.1.2 with updated icons and themes. The system offers better support for remote control and various types of external devices such as scanners, printers and webcams. The Rhgb tool allows you to load your plug-in for a specific device and the AulseAudio sound server has been written from scratch.

There is also support for the XFS file system that was originally designed for large hard disks.

Among other novelties, you can find the OpenXChange plug-in that makes it possible to use the Exchange Server. There is a new graphical bootloader, Plymouth, and the RPM package manager has been updated to version 4.6.

Many changes have also been applied to virtualization subsystem. Now, it has the ability to create and delete volumes on remote hosts and to allocate logical volumes LVM.

The new Fedora is based on kernel version 2.6.27. X. Org server uses a graphical evdev driver that is responsible for the configuration of the mouse and keyboard. New Fedora can also be installed on Sony PlayStation 3 consoles.
