Security patch for Windows 7

Despite the fact that Windows 7 has not yet been released, Microsoft took care of its security publishing a security patch for the new beta version of Windows 7. Although the PDC 2008 conference participants will get Windows 7 Milestone 3 build 6801 tomorrow, the fix is already available. Patching fresh system may seem strange, but it must be remembered that this is the beta version, so underdeveloped by definition. In addition, early versions of Windows 7 are very similar to Vista, so they need the same patches. The patch was delivered by Microsoft on Thursday, regardless of the normal cycle of patches issuing. It has been described in the bulletin MS08-067 and was designed for Windows 2000, XP, 2003 and 2008.
