googleOn the official blog, Google announced the availability of a new feature that will improve the results displayed in the browser. The new feature is a special tag for the rapid identification of the country of origin of pages ending in .com, .org or .info (gTLD domain).

In the post published by Google, we can read that the new feature has been added to help users to navigate and quickly find the most appropriate site. After typing a specific search phrase in English (following the example given on the blog, it may be the "Capital City Boxing"), Google displays links to websites from different countries. If you want to find an interesting club in Canada, one must dig through all the results. With the new feature, the information about the country of origin of the site will be visible next to the URL.

Webmasters can set the appropriate parameters for their pages in the Google webmaster tools (choose the appropriate site, then click Site Configuration -> Settings -> Target geographic location).

Currently, the new feature is in the initial stages of development and the additional tag is displayed only in the case of 1% of all results.
