Google has released the next version of the mobile operating system Android 2.0. As we can see watching the promotional video or visiting this site, the new system has a menu "Quick Contact" that gives you quick access to many ways of communication. Another novelty is the integration with a search engine for SMS and MMS messages. The new version also enables you to synchronize such data as contacts, calendar and mail.

We also find support for the optical zoom in the built-in digital cameras, improved virtual keyboard and a web browser compatible with HTML 5. Android 2.0 has improved support for screens of various sizes.

Developers wishing to write applications using the capabilities of the new system should get the latest Android SDK and AVD Manager. Currently, no one knows when new devices equipped with the latest system will appear on the market.
