Apple Store - more that 2 billion downloads

Apple informed that over two billion applications for the iPhone and iPod touch have already been downloaded through the App Store.

The online shop was created in July 2008 and now offers 85 000 different applications. These include both paid and free products. In addition, Apple announced that more than 125 000 software developers already belong to the iPhone Developer Program. The number of downloads in the App Store is growing very rapidly, and if nothing changes, users will download 2.5 billion applications until the end of the year.
