Xfce 4.6 beta

The next trial version of a lightweight Xfce desktop environment has been released. The work is now focused on fixing the bugs that have been found. If no critical bugs are found, we can expect the final version 4.6 until the end of this year.
What’s new in this release?

Support of keyboard shortcuts in the windows manager xfwm4 has been added. The session manager implements panel settings. It also automatically starts the application again in case of its unexpected termination. The windows client, in turn, saves all settings, in the event of failure.

It is also possible to hibernate through HAL. Settings manager has the option to turn on the keyboard settings, and thunar allows you to change your desktop wallpaper by using the right mouse button. The Multimedia submenu is split into subcategories: Audio and Video. Transaltions have also been updated.

Beta 2 version is still unstable – it is only for advanced users. Packages for various distributions and source code can be downloaded from the authors' website. The detailed list of changes is also avilable.
