As we reported a coupe of days ago, Mac OS Snow Leopard 10.6 has officially been released today. Now, you can purchase the long-awaited seventh version of Mac OS X Snow Leopard which can be installed on any Apple's computer or separately.

Snow Leopard 10.6 has been released almost two years after Leopard (10.5). This is a huge step in the development of Mac OS X. The new version is full of innovations and interesting solutions (compared to the previous version, we can find more than 900 new features).

One of the most important novelty is native 64-bit compatibility. A huge step forward is Grand Central Dispatch technology which facilitates the full use of computing power of multi-core processors and OpenCL. By using this technology, developers can use GPUs for non-graphics computations. The new system has also integrated support for Microsoft Exchange and improved support for touch screens. Upgrading from the previous version of the system saves more than 7 GB of disk space.
