Snow Leopard with protection against malicious software

Apple has always been able to boast that the number of viruses infecting the family of Mac operating systems is significantly lower than the number of malicious programs written specifically for Windows. However, no operating system is one hundred percent safe. That is why, as blog Intego reports, there will be implemented a special system to protect users against malicious software in the newest version (10.6) of the Mac OS.

By default, on computers with Mac OS X, users who install new software do not know exactly what files are saved on the hard drive. This can unfortunately result in infection with malicious software. However, the latest version of the Apple's system (Snow Leopard) will have an application that will normally warn users in case of potentially hazardous applications. The system will scan the installation file and then, if any virus is detected, a user will get a message that the computer may be damaged.

As reported by ZDNet, it is not certain what solution will be implemented. However, it is likely that the security application will be created by one of the well-known anti-virus vendors.
