Will Mac OS X 10.6 be available in August?

Last week we wrote that the latest version of Apple's operating system - Mac OS X Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6) has achieved the status of Golden Master. Although the system is now ready for release, the manufacturer has not officially revealed when the system will appear on the market.

However, if you want to upgrade your system as soon as possible, you may be able to do so after August 28th. On Apple UK site has appeared an order page for those who are eligible for the Up-To-Date program. However, Apple has not confirmed yet that it will really be possible to upgrade the system on August 28th. The fact that the order page is already live seems to confirm rumors that Apple plans to release the system in August.

If this speculation is confirmed, Apple will manage to release its system before the release of Windows 7 - which is currently available only for a narrow circle of the holders of special Microsoft's subscriptions.
