Mozilla releases plans for Firefox
The proposed changes for version 3.6 have appeared in a guide for developers. The most important novelty will be support for hiding the menu bar automatically. Mozilla wants to create and fine-tune this feature before the release of Firefox 4.0.
Another interesting proposal is the possibility to send audio signals in response to an action (e. g. incoming e-mail). In addition, the browser will be able to remember not only the user's location, but also his address. This will enable better cooperation with other services showing the nearest shopping centers, banks etc..
On MozillaWiki, the first projects related to Firefox 4.0 have been published. For now, developers are focused primarily on changes in the user interface. The most important novelty is that the upper menu is not always visible. Mozilla also presented a new universal button replacing the current ones "go to", "stop" and "refresh". It will be located on the left of the website address window. The button changes its function depending on the current browser's state. Also, the color of the button will be altered according to the current function associated with it.
