40th celebration of the anniversary of landing on the Moon is continued - after the publication of films in high resolution from the Apollo 11 mission in high resolution, now according to the announcement, Google has added to the Google Earth a possibility to view the moon in 3D.

All users who has Google Earth can now see the 3D maps of the moon. There is no need for any updates. Click the planet button on the menu at the top of the application window and you can start a three-dimensional journey. In addition, Google Earth also provides Guited Tours - recordings, in which Buzz Aldrin (a member of the Apollo 11 mission) and Harrison H. Schmitt (Apollo 17, a geologist at the Fusion Technology Institute) are speaking about the only natural satellite of the Earth.

The three-dimensional model of the surface of the Moon is the result of cooperation between Google and U.S. space agency NASA and Japanese company JAXA which provided a large number of satellite images.
