WinZip 12.1
The next version 12.1 of WinZip has been released. This edition introduces new compression format .zipx.
The new format is an extension of the popular zip algorithm. ZIPX makes use of advanced compression methods which make it possible to compress files much better. Unfortunately, the new format is currently supported by the WinZip application only. Of course, the software still allows you to save your archives in the standard zip files.
