Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope is available!
The new system brings a lot of new features. The most important changes are: GNOME 2.26, support for the ext4 file system, new styles and notifications settings.
The new GNOME has a function for fonts optimization depending on the current monitor settings (e.g. current screen resolution). Kubuntu is based on the latest KDE 4.2.2.
The latest version of Ubuntu is expected to work better on notebooks, especially the system startup time has been reduced. The new server version of Ubuntu offers a tool called Eucalyptus that allows you to launch your own computing cloud. In addition, it has a pre-configured mail server that supports the following protocols: SMTP, POP3, IMAP with TLS and SASL.
More information on the new Ubuntu and download packages can be found on the distribution website.
