In December we wrote about a contest for the best Linux advertising campaign. Now, The Linux Foundation has announced the results of the competition. The contest attracted nearly 100 amateur videos from around the world. The winner has been chosen by a panel of judges and the open source community.

The competition was launched in December 2008. Participants were to create 1-minute ads to promote the open system. The winner film "What does it mean to be free?" was created by a freelance graphic designer Amitay Tweeto. More results can be found on the Linux foundation website.
