The id Software company plans to release the public beta version of the Quake Live game.

It is a special edition of the cult Quake 3 Arena which will be available free of charge. To launch the game, a web browser and about 200MB of free hard disk space will be enough. Quake Live, due to the fact that the game is already 10 years, should work without problems even on old computers (also in full screen mode).

As the manufacturer informs, in comparison to the original edition of Quake 3 Arena, Quake Live has minor modifications. Game levels are taken from the original. Also the Team Arena bonus level is included.

Registration in the open beta will be available from 24th February on this website.
