The next test version of Mandriva Linux 2009.1 has been released.

The most important changes are updated versions of desktop environments GNOME (2.25.4), KDE (4.2 RC 1) and Xfce (4.6 Beta 3), the new kernel (2.6.28), and improved disk labels management in Diskdrake. The new security system msec has now only two levels of security available. This version still may not support Linux driver for ATI graphics cards (fglrx), there are also problems with the SiS 670 and 671 cards.

Mandriva Linux 2009.1 Alpha 2 is available in several versions, differing primarily in the supported architecture (32 or 64 bit). More detailed information can be found on the project website. The final version is going to be released in mid-April.
