NetBeansA new version of the NetBeans IDE 7.0 has been released. NetBeans is an IDE for the Java, C++, PHP programming languages. NetBeans is a free IDE which means that it can be used for both commercial and non-commercial development. To install and use the IDE, it is required to have the JDK (Java Development Kit) installed on your computer.

In the latest version of the NetBeans IDE 7.0, developers have introduced the support for the Git 1.7.x version control system and improved detection of external changes in the file system. Another novelty is the use of the HTML5 language tags, which improved the mechanism responsible for highlighting and auto-completion of the code. The manufacturer has integrated its product with the popular JUnit 4.8.2 tool which is used for creating repeatable unit tests in Java.

In addition, developers have added support for remote URLs in Javadoc generator and fixed numerous bugs in the modules responsible for creating applications in PHP, Java EE and C/C++. Moreover, the new version has improved Maven 3 support and integration with Oracle products: Oracle WebLogic, Oracle Database and GlassFish 3.1. It is worth noting that the latest version 7.0 does not support Ruby and Rails tools, designed for rapid development of Internet applications.

NetBeans IDE 7.0 software is available for download for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X on the project website.
