The browsers were tested with the Peacekeeper, Sunspider, Google V8, and Dromaeo JavaScript benchmarks. in addition, we have check the browsers' compatibility with the latest web standards using the ACID3 test.

The best results are marked with the green color. As it can be seen, The fastest browser is Chrome which achieved the best results in the three out of four speed tests. Opera is the second fastest browser which won in the Sunspider test. The biggest disappointment is Firefox which has a very slow JavaScript engine. Internet Explorer is also a very slow browser and performs very poorly in the ACID 3 test. Rekonq scored an average result. SeaMonkey has similar results to the Firefox because these browsers are build on the same engine. Konqueror scores are far below the average. Opera, Chrome and Rekonq are fully compatible with the web standards defined in the ACID 3.

Browsers used in the test:
Opera 11 build 1156
