androidThere is a new Trojan that runs on Google's Android platform. A malicious application is able to record conversations and send them to a specified web address. Previous Trojans that were attacking Android had access to information about telephone calls only. The latest threat, according to CA Technologies, is able to record conversations. Saved connections are stored on your microSD card in AMR format. The recorded conversations can be sent by the Trojan to predetermined address. This gives the criminals a lot of possibilities to acquire sensitive information on the selected victims.

Fortunately, the described threat is easy to detect. During the installation process, a user must give the Trojan a number of privileges. This includes the access to system utilities and phone calls. You do not need to be a specialist to quickly realize that such a request may expose you to a danger. So far, there have been no attacks detected. Android users who care about safety should pay special attention to the privileges required by the installed applications.
